Fortuny at the Castle
September 14 @ 10:00 am - September 30 @ 4:00 pm
Haute Couture Returns to Hammond Castle Museum with Display of Mario Fortuny Gowns! It’s not every day one discovers vintage couture tucked away in a closet. View the two vintage, Mario Fortuny gowns. Dated between 1920 and 1930, the gowns are made in Fortuny’s “Eleonora” Renaissance style and feature hundreds of silk pleats, Venetian glass beads, and handprinted velvet. These breathtaking vintage, couture gowns will go on display for a brief period in September. Don’t miss your chance to see what the avant-garde was wearing nearly 100 years ago!
The exhibit is on display until September 30.
